Improving Oracle Health Information Exchange provides benefits

When Oracle announced improvements to Oracle Health Information Exchange at the end of February, Neil de Crescenzo, senior vice president, Oracle Health Sciences, was keen to explain the benefits for healthcare organisations and government agencies.

“Empowering healthcare providers with accurate and complete patient information when and where it is needed can have a tremendous impact on improving quality of care and patient outcomes – while also helping to drive down healthcare delivery costs.”

The Oracle Health Information Exchange is an open standards-based solution that simplifies the deployment of a Health Information Exchange (HIE). Neil de Crescenzo added.

“While this vision is clear, the path forward has often been mired with complexity as healthcare organisations work to integrate data from myriad systems and grapple with security concerns.”

The Exchange provides a comprehensive and pre-integrated portfolio of products built on a scalable and secure infrastructure. The interoperability and security enhancements have improved private healthcare communities and streamlined connectivity to public exchanges.

Oracle Health Information Exchange provides, to name a few; secure communication; system integration; enterprise master person indexing and consent management and enforcement. With the new components the Exchange can protect in-transit protected health information; provide a single point of contact to access information about a patient or person within the organisation; simplify data management; improve security, and with open standards-based HL7 messaging, assist with the integration of data across clinical and administrative systems.

Neil de Crescenzo explained how the Oracle Health Information Exchange will help companies move on from trying to piece together data from countless systems and security worries, instead, ‘speeding time to value and optimizing the secure exchange of electronic health information with an extensible, open, suite of solutions designed to work together out of the box and running on a robust, reliable and secure technology infrastructure.”

Health care should be given to everybody. Government should lend a helping hand to the people. Even with this matter they could help the people pulling out from the poverty line.
