The Tunnel2K race is happening today. At 9pm on Thursday 17th September 30 of the World's elite wheelchair athletes will speed at near 50mph driven by sheer muscle power to complete the 2km course.
Racing through the Tyne Tunnel in North East England competitors complete the distance in less than 15 minutes with the leader coming first through the finish line within 6 minutes. The event will be filmed by Gilette Sport, regional TV and BBC'sOlympic Dreams.
