Menage a Trois: In bed with Microsoft, Oracle and Open Source technologies

Menage a Trois: Mixing Microsoft, Oracle and Open Source technologies – a “non techie perspective”

Speaker: Simon Ellis: Date: 02-Dec-08: Time: 13:05 - 13:50

Hall: 6

Historically many Oracle implementers have expressed fear and loathing of Microsoft technology, and furthermore, have hardly understood the realms of “Open Source”. This presentation workshop provides recent experiences both good and bad of ”mashing up” different components of Microsoft, Open Source and Oracle technologies, and provides some firsthand experiences, and advice for those “non too technical” Oracle implementation teams.

Menage a Trois: A living arrangement comprising three people (not all of the same sex) in a sexual relationship. Alternatively, a sexual liaison between such a group of people. In this case the unlikely bed fellows of Microsoft, Oracle and Open Source.
