Oracle launches Enterprise Gateway 11g

Oracle released its Enterprise Gateway 11g security and management for Fusion Middleware earlier this month.

“With the introduction of the Oracle Enterprise Gateway, Oracle is the only SOA and identity management vendor to offer comprehensive threat mitigation, identity propagation, secure connectivity and compliance for SOA environments," said Oracle vice president for identity management Amit Jasuja.

SOA and cloud application systems thus benefit from extra protection and increased performance – and, access control and management functions are provided for applications.

The software will also integrate with third party platforms, helping reduce security risks while simplifying integration.

Oracle also explained how the tool manages and streamlines XML processing thus improving the performance of cloud-based and SOA applications.

“Using Oracle Enterprise Gateway, our customers have enhanced security and flexibility to confidently extend their enterprise datacentre into the cloud."
