The Oracle Retail Week Awards brought together over 1,500 industry leaders in February to recognise breakthrough technology and techniques in retail.
Taking place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, the event was "testament to the retail industry's remarkable ability to reinvent, innovate and go to even greater lengths to meet the needs of their customers", according to Retail Week editor and host Tim Danaher.
The most-coveted award of the evening, the Oracle Retailer of the Year award, was given to budget clothing store Primark. Judges said that Primark is a “retail phenomenon”.
Other winners included Specsavers (Retail Advertising Campaign of the Year); Boots No7 Protect & Perfect (The Philips Lighting Product Innovation of the Year); Lloyds Pharmacy Online Doctor (The BT Customer Service Initiative of the Year); Oasis iPhone App (Retail Technology Initiative of the Year); Amazon.co.uk (The Brand bank Online Retailer of the Year); Pets at Home (The Home Delivery Network Speciality Retailer of the Year); and Walmart (The Wipro Retail International Retailer of the Year).
Also in February, Inatech itself was recognised at the Oracle Partner Awards 2010. Inatech was named as the Specialist Technology Partner of the Year. This was the third in a series of awards Inatech has collected over the past year; Inatech won a Small Business Partner of the Year for the Oracle User Group Awards (UK) in October and runner-up Global Technology Partner of the Year at the annual Oracle Awards 2009.
