Ravindra Krishnappa’s second session at the Oracle Applications Users Group Connection Point 2010 was entitled Real Time Logistics with Oracle Fusion Middleware - Logistics in a Service Oriented World.
This session, which followed Ravindra’s presentation of a paper on Oracle Fusion Middleware, explored how in today’s retail markets, customers expect not only to have their goods delivered on time, but also to be able to track the progress of those products.
Ravindra explained that nowadays, logistics organisations are using service-oriented architectures (SOAs) to improve delivery flexibility and communication channels.
Applying this practically, Ravindra went on to highlight how using Oracle Fusion to integrate both systems and processes with clients and logistics partners can reduce operational costs, as well as improving business agility.
