Inatech Helps Tunnel Racers Focus on the Finish Line

The Tyne Tunnel International Wheelchair Race has been described as the fastest and toughest wheelchair road race on earth. Global IT solutions specialist, Inatech, has announced its sponsorship of this incredible race which will see 30 elite international wheelchair athletes race through the Tyne Tunnel on September 17th at speeds up to 48mph.

With male and female athletes from all over the world competing, it's a highlight of the sporting year. Olympic medallists and marathon winners will be taking part, including UK’s Mickey Bushell, South African, Ernst van Dyk and Australian, Kurt Fearnley.

"It's two kilometres of high adrenalin racing," said Chris Baker, sales and marketing director at Inatech. “The end of the race is uphill so it takes stamina and planning to win as well as talent. This appealed to us in a business where delivering end results takes tenacity. We wish all the racers good luck for an exhilarating race."

T2 organiser, David Burdus said "Inatech's sponsorship has made a huge difference and has enabled us to stage the event this year. Tunnel 2K has achieved cult status among paralympic and world champion athletes and is watched by a world-wide TV audience of 460 million. It’s with thanks to sponsors like Inatech that the race has achieved world-class recognition.”

The race will take place on 17th September at 9pm, it will be filmed by Gillette Sport, regional TV and BBC's Olympic Dreams
