On day four – Today - Piyush Govil will be presenting at OUG2008: Integrating Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) with Application Express (APEX) for MultiFormat Reports.

In this presentation Piyush Govil who heads the BI Practice at Inatech Solutions gives his insight to the business intelligence community.

Web applications are of limited value if users can view the information they need on the screen but have no way to put that information into their desired format for intelligent information sharing. If your application displays 115 records at a time out of a total of 500 but users can't e-mail all 500 in a printable attachment or distribute them in hard copy at a critical meeting. This paper describes how Oracle Application Express (APEX) solves this dilemma by tightly integrating it with Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher to provide high-fidelity printing capabilities. This paper explains how Oracle APEX can generate reports in Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and HTML formats from any report region, with Oracle BI Publisher installed. Also it addresses how to define report templates and customize report's graphical aspects.
